J.F. Martin Law Firm is led by Attorney John Martin, who brings over 26 years of successful legal experience in business and family law. Practicing in both federal and state courts across Louisiana as well as providing counsel across the U.S., he has built a reputation for clarity, confidence, and courtroom strength. His leadership guides every case, every step and consistently exceeds client expectations with proven results. Attorney Martin is regarded as a recognized subject matter expert in commercial equipment leasing, the global monetization of trade receivables, asset-based lending, and M&A and has worked for several years for two Fortune 500 corporations driving success in these highly specialized areas of finance and law.
For the past 14+ years, Attorney Martin has also served as a seasoned mediator and arbitrator assisting corporations and disputants throughout the U.S. in resolving complex contractual, commercial equipment leasing, and other business-related matters, and is a published author having co-authored "Star Wars and Conflict Resolution II: My Negotiations Will Not Fail" (DRI Press, 2024). Attorney Martin’s vast professional experiences globally have exposed him to the high-stake inner workings of the corporate world (both domestically and internationally).
Attorney Martin holds a BA in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations from Louisiana State University, a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center, an MBA with a concentration in Finance and Enterprise Risk Management from LSU, and a MS in Conflict Management and Negotiation from Kennesaw State University, as well as numerous certificates from Cornell University and Harvard School of Law. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Attorney Martin now resides in Atlanta, Georgia with my beautiful wife and is the extremely proud father of three young adult children.
